We strongly encourage you to become your own advocate and learn about the ordination requirements of the State and County in which you are to perform a wedding. Learn the statute and gain an understanding of what it means. If you need to register within a county to perform a wedding, become knowledgable of the state statute prior to registering. If someone, because of their own religious belief, tries to discourage your desire to perform a wedding, your knowledge of the State Statute will be of vital importance. Know the law.
